Beacons is a YC-backed, beautifully designed link-in-bio tool aimed at full-time creators selling digital products. The product is genuinely impressive — courses, tip jars, email capture, paid DMs all built in. But the price ($10–$30/mo) and Stripe-based payouts make it a poor fit for Indian creators with Indian audiences.

I tried Beacons for two months. Beautiful product but I was paying $10/month for features I didn't use. Linktrain does the link page side at one-fifth the cost.
Common questions
- Does Linktrain have Beacons'-style course selling?
- Not yet. Selling digital products from the bio is on our roadmap, but if that's your primary use case today, Beacons or Stan.store is the right call. Most of our users aren't course sellers — they're small businesses using the bio page as a landing surface for WhatsApp orders.
- Can I integrate Linktrain with my email tool?
- Not natively yet. You can put a link to your newsletter sign-up form on your Linktrain bio page, but we don't have inline capture forms yet. On the roadmap.
- Why does Beacons cost so much more?
- Beacons is positioned as a creator OS — payments, email, products, scheduling all in one. That bundle costs money to build and run. If you use 80% of those features, it's worth it. If you use 20% (just the bio page), you're overpaying.
- What about Indian creators with global audiences?
- If you're an Indian YouTuber/coach selling $30+ courses to global students, Beacons (or Stan.store) is genuinely the better tool. Their Stripe integration handles USD payouts you can convert to INR. Linktrain is right when both you and your audience are Indian.
